Exploring the boundary between what is perceived as real and what is not — yet bearing all the marks of reality — lies at the heart of my artistic research...
My artistic journey began with hyperrealism: I have immersed myself in its techniques, its forms, and its expressive codes. Yet, my intention is to move beyond them, to depart from its substance and seek my own voice.
I work primarily with charcoal on Canson Mi-Teintes Touch paper, though I continually experiment with other mediums.
My artworks do not aim to simply replicate visible reality. Instead, they pose a more profound question: what makes an image believable? Which mental mechanisms compel us to perceive a scene — or a subject — as real?
For me, life is an endless act of learning. Regardless of age or background, the fewer boundaries we impose on ourselves, the more room is for imagination to flourish and creativity to unfold.
I do not draw for money, if you are really interested please use the form below to ask for enquiries, specify the name of the artwork, and your full name and your email address.
